FEDERAL TIRE - THE MOST RECOMMEDED BY DAI

Dai Inada, Top Speed Test Driver for OPTION magazines from its beggining as well as its founder, has been watching the drift driving of Keiichi Tsuchiya for years, and decided to challenge it by himself. After many practice, he became to know Federal tires, SS595 and 595 RS and found them as the most recommendable for beginners and intermediate class drifters. He says "There are a lot of competitive brands of good quality, and a lot of price conscious ones as well. But Federal is the only one with the best balance of the good traction, the high durability and, most importantly, the affordable price."

DAI' DRIFT LESSON - E-BRAKE DRIFT

The most important thing for drift beginner is to spin the car intentionally. There are several ways to do it; 1)Use E-Brake 2)By Clutch Kick, 3)Sway and Spin. This picture shows how to spin by E-brake.
1. Turn the wheels slightly to the direction you want to turn.
2. When the tail starts to spin, let off the clutch, pull e-brake and counter-steer quickly. Now you start drifting.
3. Release the clutch and the e-brake. As you adjust your throttle, work on the countersteer. Keep your drifting.
4. Begin to correct the countersteer before the end of the corner. Return to the normal position after the corner.
